Candy joined Blackman & Sloop in 1984 as an administrative assistant; she currently serves as the firm’s Controller. She is responsible for supervising all support staff, conducting internal firm accounting and management, and working closely with firm owners.
A loyal and dedicated professional, Candy’s teammates describe her as helpful, kind, reliable, and a real team player. Candy attributes her career success to these qualities, as well as the strong support of both her family and her coworkers throughout the years. She credits her parents as having had the greatest impact on her life, stating that they were “great role models.”
Raised in Durham, North Carolina, Candy continues to live there today with her family. When she’s not reading the latest in the Stephanie Plum series, Candy enjoys trying new restaurants, watching movies, and spending time with her family.
