BCBSNC Foundation Healthy Community Institute for NonProfit Excellence

Carla Daniel and Deetra Watson will be speaking and consulting next week at the BCBSNC Foundation Healthy Community Institute for NonProfit Excellence.  The topic will be Managing the Audit Process & the Board’s Role in the Form 990.

The purpose of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation Healthy Community Institute for Nonprofit Excellence (HCI) is to provide training to strengthen the organizational capacity of the nonprofit organizations in North Carolina. HCI is a special two-day intensive course that engages three- to four-person teams from nonprofit organizations in a comprehensive board and staff training curriculum.

Miss Harnett County and Miss Greater Cape Fear Scholarship Pageant

Saturday, March 27 – 7PM at Spring Lake, NC – Miss Harnett County and Miss Greater Cape Fear Scholarship Pageant

Blackman & Sloop will be certifying the results at the Miss Harnett County/Miss Greater Cape Fear 2010 Scholarship Pageant.  This pageant is a local preliminary pageant to the Miss North Carolina Pageant, and an affiliate of the Miss North Carolina Pageant Organization and the Miss America Organization. The Miss America Organization is the world’s largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women, aged 17-24, to support them achieving their goal of higher education and community service. Last year, more than $45 million in scholarship assistance was provided to winners across the country.
